National ARA leadership is seeking a senior manager to join our team responsible for driving Audit & Assurance growth through our collaboration with Risk & Financial Advisory (Advisory). Accounting Advisory and Transformation Services (AATS or joint offering) launched in Summer 2020, presenting a combined storefront of historical Audit & Assurance Accounting and Reporting Advisory services and Advisory Controllership Accounting & Reporting (Controllership) services. A core working group has been established, with representation from both functions.
Various implementation workstreams for the joint offering are underway (Go-to-market strategies, Marketing, Talent, Quality Risk Management, Communications, Client Relationship Management (i.e., Mercury), Financial reporting). We are looking for a professional to oversee all processes, guide workstream teams and support functions as needed, and be a key team member in communicating, socializing and executing the joint strategy. This role includes heavy interaction with many of the groups mentioned above, as well as exposure to key leaders within the Audit & Assurance practice as well as the Advisory practice, including the AATS Steering Group.
Other responsibilities will include:
* Provide inputs and strategic directions to various coordination workstreams (listed above)
* Lead periodic reporting to A&A and AATS leadership
* Drive execution of joint strategy, including suggesting strategic choices to yield desired outcomes
* Assist or lead execution of ad-hoc projects
* Work closely with Advisory PMO team and core working group
* Interact with A&A practice (from RMPs through specific office groups) to provide education on AATS strategy and opportunities

Qualifications
Required
* 4+ years of public accounting or equivalent experience
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
Preferred
* Advanced degree in accounting or related field
* Familiarity with Deloitte's Accounting and Reporting Advisory service offerings preferred, but not required
* Interest in learning about the internal functions of supporting a practice
* Strong project management capabilities
* Superior Microsoft Office skills, particularly with PowerPoint and Excel
* Ability to work effectively and collaborate with all levels in a large, matrixed organization
* Ability to work well in a virtual team environment
* Interest in broadening understanding of cross-functional services
* Excellent written and oral communications skills
* Ability to analyze data and make sound observations and recommendations
* Demonstrated ability to take initiative and comfort interacting with all levels of management
* Innovative, creative, curious, willing to learn about, experiment with and champion new ideas and approaches
