Job Description
The Design System team unites product, design, and, engineering teams around a common visual and brand language with which to work more consistently and efficiently across products and platforms. We provide comprehensive documentation, UI toolkits, and code that set the standard for styles, components, and accessibility best practices, which in turn, allow our teams to focus more on evolving a cohesive user experience.
We're seeking to add a talented and thoughtful Lead iOS Product Designer to our cross-functional team who combines design vision, user insights, technical knowledge, and creativity to deliver elegant and usable components. This role is critical to our success and requires someone who self-identifies as both a designer and builder, and who will help drive the evolution of our design system.

Responsibilities

Apply the full suite of design methodologies user research, UX, interaction, visual to validate design direction and generate final comps, assets, and UI toolkits (e.g. Sketch libraries).
Understand how both CVS and Aetna brands should manifest themselves on iOS and apply this knowledge to typography, color, iconography, and spacing.
Work closely with Accessibility partners to ensure accessibility requirements are defined, met, and evolved.
Work hand-in hand with iOS developers throughout design and development processes.
Collaborate with iOS developers to groom features, create user stories, and prepare components for release.
Propose new approaches, workflows, and tools to the design system team to improve efficiency.
Conduct design reviews and confidently communicate decision-making rationale to team members and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Onboard designers and developers on the usage of the design system through 1-on-1 training and group presentations.
Coach internal contributors on how best to identify and propose new iOS styles and components.

Required Qualifications
3+ years of demonstrable experience designing for iOS applications, including a solid grasp of Apples iOS Human Interface Guidelines (HIG).
5+ years of experience in UX, interaction, product and/or visual design.
Advanced skills in typography, iconography, color theory, and grid systems, including 3+ years of experience in Sketch and Sketch libraries.
Work portfolio that demonstrates a synthesis of multiple inputs (user, business, technical) and creative problem solving
Solid grasp of design system approaches (purpose, ingredients, documentation).
Knowledge and appreciation for front-end coding practices, from how designs are dissected to how coding decisions are made.
Real-world experience with accessibility and inclusive design.
Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Strong portfolio when it comes to native mobile design.
Experience producing designs for large-scale, enterprise products in an agile environment.
Skills in generative and evaluative research methods to uncover user insights.
Front-end coding experience.

Education
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

The typical salary range for this role is $120,000 to $135,000.

This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus plan or program.
