Manager - Knowledge & Insights (SWA)

Location Gurgaon

Responsible for monitoring and identification of competitor's marketing strategy development e.g. pricing, sales and methods of operation; researches market conditions in local, regional or national areas to determine potential sales of a products/services; makes recommendations for the development of new products or services. Individual contributor that is fully proficient in applying established standards; knowledge base acquired from several years of experience in particular area; works independently; may coach other professionals.

Position Overview:

The position plays a critical role in the business planning for the South West Asia (SWA) BU (including 5 countries - Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives & Bhutan) . It requires working closely with the SWA business associates to formalize business issues, identify the right data sources and then action studies / leverage existing data to present actionable findings to business. The role also plays an integral role in aiding the team to put together the Annual Business Plan (ABP) / Strategic Business Plan ( SBP)

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

* Identify key local business questions leading to critical decisions for the SWA BU by working closely with the SWA business teams and then converting these into a project charter with formalized problem description, measurable deliverables and business goals
* Ensure monthly reporting and measure impact for better and faster decision making for all SWA countries across syndicated sources like Nielsen, Household Panel, BGS & RED
* Aid with business planning (Annual Business Plan / Strategic Business Plan) through building learnings and identifying opportunities by integrating data from the various sources
* Build local cultural, category & competition learnings specific to each country in SWA for a better innovation pipeline and market specific communication
* Identify & Build local research partners & expertise along with new ways of building learnings for local on ground expertise and issues

Education Requirements:
MBA from a premier institute

Related Work Experience:
7-10 years (experience in CPG organisations preferred)

Functional Skills:

* Knowledge of research tools and processes and the ability to present findings in an actionable manner
* Working knowledge of syndicate & regular studies like Nielsen, Panel, brand tracking, etc
