Capital Planning (CP) ensures the effectiveness of, and dedicated focus on, Citis Capital Planning activities, recognizing the increasing importance of this function given evolving regulatory requirements and Citis goal of maintaining Capital at prudent levels. Specifically, CP coordinates evolving regulatory rule changes and enhancements and facilitates Citis goal of managing its Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) ratio.
The Treasury Capital Planning Lead Analyst - VP is responsible for leading system requirements planning and development, controls redesign, and implementation of processes to accurately quantify and comply with regulatory requirements regarding Total Loss Absorbing Capacity (TLAC) and, additionally, Leverage Exposures related to Supplementary Leverage Ratio (SLR) calculations. The role is responsible for assessing current processes vis--vis the latest TLAC requirements, to evaluate current state implementation of identification and exposure calculation of investments in FIs, and to ensure Go-live compliance of upcoming new capital regulations in these areas.
This individual will help ensure Citi has a consistent and well-supported process for a rule compliant implementation approach. The overall team collaborates with the key stakeholders across the firm to drive the overarching implementation initiatives of the upcoming regulations.
This role provides extensive exposure to colleagues across risk, finance, technology, and line of business functions. Excellent interpersonal skills are required given the high level of interaction with senior managers, as well as the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Technical skill is important to the candidates success, but also is strong project management and multi-tasking skills to plan and manage deliverables towards a number of objectives.
The position will be responsible for:
* Developing methodologies, processes, controls, and system requirements to comply with all aspects of regulatory rules related to TLAC and SLR, and assessing application to Citis products
* Leading the creation of materials for program management presentations to stakeholders and governance bodies
* Developing a robust, comprehensive documentation of the methodologies, assumptions, and implementation approaches
* Writing controls and implementation documentation for Citis reporting of TLAC and SLR
* Lead control design and implementation for TLAC go live reporting
* Self-project managing their own deliverables towards a defined goal
Qualifications:
* Bachelors in Finance, Accounting or other related field
* 5+ years experience in related field, i.e. Finance and/or risk reporting
* Experience in Basel rules (e.g. US, Basel) for a range of exposure types (counterparty credit, wholesale, retail, market risk, etc.) highly preferred;
- Understanding of Derivatives and Securities Finance Transactions
- Familiarity with a) Interest Rate; b) Equity; c) Credit d) FX and e) Commodity derivatives. Understanding of various structured products, mortgage, credit index products, correlation products, etc. is preferred
* Experience with working with technology teams to design, define, and implement system change
* Familiar and comfortable with core financial and risk reporting processes
* Familiar with process to develop business requirements, and project manage system implementation projects
* Exceptional writing and documentation skills and oral communication, with ability to synthesize complex concepts, and translate into language for multiple audiences, including senior management and multiple constituents
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks, work well as part of a team, and exhibit strong people and influencing skills
* Strong attention to detail, willingness to roll up sleeves and produce a polished, high quality, accurate product; strong work ethic with ability to work well under pressure
* Solid Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and data analysis skills and the ability to quickly adapt where required. Experience with SQL queries is a plus.
