POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assists with review and validation of product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.
* Implements quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations.
* Inspects all phases of a variety of goods, services or operation for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing on-going work for compliance with contractual provisions.
* Communicates deficiencies to proper persons, maintains Quality Control files, and document results of all inspections.
* Supports analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes.
* Participates in the investigation to determine root cause of nonconformance of plans.
* Gathers data and assists with recommendations/solutions to nonconformance of plans, products or processes.
* Participates and observes the validation associated with corrective action to assure nonconformance has been eliminated.
* Assists in the collection of data and creation of reports, derived from collected data.
* Analyzes routine test, inspection or statistical data to determine product and processes conformity.
* Assists with standard corrective action recommendations.
* Documents and communicates standard test, analysis or measurement results.
* Reports potential adverse trends or anomalous results.
* Possess the skills and knowledge to setup and calibrate equipment, conduct tests, interpret, evaluate and document findings without supervision.
* Participates in review of Fight Surface repair planning in accordance with manufacturing blue prints, process specifications and statement of work.
* Perform Non-conformance and work order review of completed flight control surfaces returning to the customer.
* Performs Audits and monitoring of maintenance processes.
* Document non-Conformances of flight control surfaces and discrepant parts
Inspection of completed flight surface maintenance and modifications.
* Effectively communicate information.
* Capable of working independently or in a teaming environment.
Job Skills:
* Experience with airplane Structures (e.g., Airframe, wing, wing components).
* Familiarity with documentation of discrepancies.
* Familiarity with root cause analysis and corrective action of non-conformances to reduce scrap, minimize rework, reduce cost and improve quality to meet all requirements.
* Experience with assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities (e.g., composites, structures), and data needed for defining delivery configurations (e.g., design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, supplier data). Ability to differentiate production (manufacturing) processes and requirements from in-service procedures and requirements
* Experience with drawing/data systems (e.g., used on drawings, part relationships, product data management) and configuration management principles and processes (e.g., part number control, revision level, naming conventions, product identification numbering systems).
* Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design).
* Familiarity of the interactions between departments/disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another and impact non-operations processes (e.g., Engineering, Business, Logistics).
* Familiarity with the quality system (e.g., Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS91001).
* Computer skills necessary (Microsoft Office, power point, paint, windows 7 or higher).
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.
Security Clearance/Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
* Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action of non-conformances to reduce scrap, minimize rework, reduce cost and improve quality to meet all requirements. Knowledge of the process for producing product definition data including emergent design changes.
* Knowledge of drawing/data systems (e.g., used on drawings, part relationships, product data management) and configuration management principles and processes (e.g., part number control, revision level, naming conventions, product identification numbering systems).
* Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design).
* Computer skills necessary (Microsoft Office, power point, excel, word, windows 7 or higher).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
* Experience with MRO and aircraft structural maintenance
* Certified in Product Review (PR)
* Familiarization with Material Review Board (MRB)
* Familiarization with GOLDesp
TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED and typically 3+ years of experience.
Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts.
