We are looking for a Systems Engineer to work on a team focused on deploying new AWS services to air-gapped regions that support our government customers. Our team supports the deployment, engineering, and operations of AWS file services such as EFS and FSx. In this position you will be identifying and resolving issues, automating processes, and working closely with development teams. This is an opportunity to dive deep into complex distributed systems, drive prioritization of operational issues, and learn the architecture of our systems.
The candidate will have experience working with Linux and be very comfortable with networking and distributed architecture topics.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. citizen and must currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or 5 years of equivalent work experience
5+ years Linux experience
5+ years systems engineering experience
5+ years of systems management/administration automation in Perl, Python, Ruby, JAVA, or related experience.
5+ year of experience specifying, designing, and/or implementing system health, performance monitoring tools.
Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with AWS services: EC2, S3, EFS
Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
Experience working on massive-scale distributed systems
