Amazon is looking for a customer-focused, detail-oriented, and innovate product owner to join the Hardlines Retail Operations & Initiatives (RO&I) team. This individual will have a strong delivery record and leadership experience to own and execute strategic, cross-functional business and technology projects. The Hardlines RO&I team owns driving initiatives and key processes across all Hardlines product groups to improve the customer and vendor experiences while simultaneously improving the P&L. The right candidate will be adept at developing the product strategy, vision, and roadmap while co-owing design to release with global Amazon partners. The individual should be open to new challenges, strong at multi-tasking, innovative, creative, self-directed and a great team player. The individual will also be expected to leverage their experience to coach, support and guide other product managers. With stakeholders spanning the company - retail, technology, and operations - you'll have frequent opportunities to influence significant decisions across the Hardlines business.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for creating product features, initiatives, and programs which deliver significant Free Cash Flow (FCF) to the Hardlines business.

Own the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for your products and programs as they mature, maintain a deep competitive awareness and think big to identify global business opportunities worthy of investment.

Partner with business, operations, and technology stakeholders and leaders across the organization to drive strategic initiatives through leadership and influence.

Operate with significant autonomy to deliver results and achieve the goals and objectives of both your team and the broader organization.

Inspire the broader organization with the product vision, and work cross-functionally and bring the product to life.

Coach and develop product managers to enable long term career success.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in business, technology, hard sciences, marketing (analytics based) or related field is required.

10+ years of professional experience and 5+ years of product management experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

MBA or other advanced degree.

Superior analytical and quantitative skills; experience using data and metrics to independently test theories, confirm assumptions, and measure success with an extreme attention to detail.

Strong strategic aptitude; proven ability to evaluate tradeoffs, define a winning business strategy and product roadmap, and gain buy-in from stakeholders at all levels.

Experience taking large, complex projects/processes and breaking them down into manageable pieces for successful delivery.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; strong writing and speaking skills.

Demonstrated ability to successfully influence stakeholders without formal authority, leading cross-functional teams across geographies and business units.

Excellent customer experience intuition; demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly products and customer-facing features.

Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners.

History of teamwork and willingness to roll up ones sleeves to get the job done.
