The Total Rewards Specialist will interact with all areas of human resources and other business stakeholders with the ultimate goal of enhancing the experience of Advance Auto Parts Team Members as they progress through their employment journey. The Total Rewards Specialist will play a key role in coordinating and strengthening the Advance Auto Parts strategy to optimize an individuals work-life experience by focusing on emotional, social and financial wellness programs.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Oversees the administration, decisions and tracking of the Team Member Assistance Fund.
* Assists with the vendor relationship, administration and promotion of the global team member employee assistance program.
* Assists with the vendor relationship, administration and promotion of the US health and financial wellness programs.
* Oversees the promotion of total rewards communications by creating content for events and/or programs and reviews and posts vendor provided materials on company intranet, benefits dashboard and newsletters.
* Manages life insurance claims and works closely with vendor, HRBP, team member and or family member to process claims timely and assist with questions.
* Collaborates with other functional areas to ensure effective communication of programs to team members and prospective team members, leveraging the Companys benefits programs as an important part of the employee total reward strategy.
* Serve as a liaison between AAP and Team Members with various Total Rewards vendors on life claims and work-life programs.
* Ensures programs are market competitive, cost effective and aligned with Advances total rewards philosophy and business needs. Assists in the research, analyzes best practices, and recommends changes to total reward plans and programs.
* Researches and resolves HR Support Center escalated team member inquiries.
* Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility.
* Assists with related special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:

* Associates or Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting / Finance or related field.
* At least three years progressively responsible experience in Human Resources Benefits functions.

Required Knowledge:

* Requires in depth knowledge of retirement and Health & Welfare benefit plan rules and provisions, HR and payroll software skills (Workday, PeopleSoft, etc.,) is required. Advanced PC skills with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word) is required.

Required Skills and Abilities:

* Strong attention to detail
* Strong customer service, relationship building skills
* Strong time management and project management skills, & ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects concurrently.
* Ability to interact with business partners of all levels
* Proven experience running business reports
* Ability to work in a time sensitive work environment, adhere to deadlines
* Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
