The Yard Driver/Equipment Operator is primarily responsible for the accurate and efficient movement trailers/containers as well as the safe operation of all powered equipment within the Service Center. Duties include safely and accurately backing, pull spotting, and shifting tractor-trailer rigs. This person will also work as a Machine Operator and all other duties assigned when Yard Driver duties are not required.

Shift: 1st Shift - 7:30am-4:00pm with overtime as required.

Wage: $19.00 per hour

This position is located in our Camp Hill, Pennsylvania Distribution Center. Employee health is our 1 priority, so we are providing on-site social distancing, PPE and sanitizing stations.

*Safely operate yard truck, pallet truck, order picker, and any other machines as needed.
*Maneuver equipment in and around tight corners, through staging areas, and around pedestrian traffic in a safe manner.
*Connect/disconnect trailer/container, operate trailer landing gear, and open trailer doors.
*Operate air-over hydraulic fifth-wheel front trailer support system.
*Ensure all assigned equipment is fully operational at beginning of shift which includes checking for damage and reporting all damages or malfunctions to supervisor immediately.
*Properly follows company and OSHA safety procedures.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to read, write, operate RF device, conduct business related mathematics, and analyze data as required.
Brings problems to the attention of the supervisor, manager, safety director or HR manager.
Follows daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to communicate using various methods.
Kneeling, stooping, using stairs, reaching, pulling, and moving weights of 5 - 50 pounds constantly and 50-100lbs frequently.
Ability to move 50-100lbs at least 25 feet in distance.
Must be within the height/weight guidelines provided by equipment manufacturer to safely operate equipment.
Based on business necessity associates may be required to temporarily work in other locations that require different physical demands.

This position works in a warehouse setting, with limited outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, rf scanner, and tape dispensers. High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 1-year previous driving experience highly preferred.
Commercial Driver's License required
Minimum of year experience using air brake systems
