Our location in Lake County, Illinois currently has an opportunity for a Program Manager, Assay Development & Transfer

WHAT YOULL DO

The Program Manager, Assay Development & Transfer manages a team of technical project managers delivering a portfolio of high value, highly complex products through development phases, transfer into manufacturing and through product launch.

Responsibilities include:

* Implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
* Primary responsible for driving world-class performance of product transfer teams: on time, in budget, high value, high quality products into a manufacturing environment and through product launch.
* Oversees the successful completion of key project tasks and milestones, on time and within budget through product launch.
* Drives efficient, technical root cause analysis and implements compliant, high quality solutions.
* Identifies resource requirements, cost and time schedules via division funding process.
* Anticipates future directions in customer needs and scientific advances; evaluates multiple scenarios; recommends or selects one or more scenarios that best aligns with ADD's business strategy.
* Translates and leads the team through the alignment of business and customer needs into project goals.
* Establishes team culture of continuous improvement driving productivity, employee engagement and high-quality processes.
* Develops implementation plans, conducts risk assessments, and develops and implements contingency plans to allow for and accommodate unforeseen events and changes in strategy.
* Implements project plans to meet project goals; considers technical, resource and regulatory requirements of the product launch phases.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOULL BRING

* Advanced Degree in Scientific or Technical discipline preferred
* Extensive previous diagnostic product research and development experience preferred
* Extensive experience with project management and general business principles required.
* Demonstrated prior success managing projects required.
* Successful track record or leading research and/or product development projects. Prior people management experience preferable
* Bachelors degree or equivalent accredited technical training; 7 years relevant experience required
* Experience managing & developing world-class project launch teams preferred.
* Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting IVDs and Biologics preferred.
