Job Purpose/Summary:
The Sr. HR Business Partner develops effective relationships with executive and senior leadership in assigned clients/departments in order to proactively solve business problems, and achieve business goals through pragmatic, data driven HR solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
Senior Leadership Business Partnership
* Builds trust to foster effective relationships with executive and senior leadership to influence and achieve business results
* Consults with assigned business units, stakeholders, and sponsors to identify business needs and use data to develop solutions that improve team relationships, build morale, increase productivity and increase high performing employee retention
* Uses business acumen to diagnoses and analyzes root causes of work environment issues using facts and data to provide recommended solutions
* Collaborates with the HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure HR solutions address business challenges, and generate business value
* Leads change by partnering with executive and senior leadership on planning, implementing, and communicating necessary changes involving employees
* Delivers HR programs and thought partnership to assigned business units
Employee Relations
* Consults with executive and senior leadership on employee relations issues and provides guidance where appropriate
* Provides continuous and consistent performance management guidance to executive senior leadership (coaching, career development, disciplinary actions)
* Collaborates with the legal department as needed on complex employee relations matters
* Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations to manage and resolve complex employee relations issues
Performance & Business Consulting
* Partners with Talent Management CEO to advise on program and process development such as:
* Talent Reviews
* Talent Planning
* Diversity and Inclusion
* Leader Development Program strategy, and content to meet business needs
* Leads the annual performance review calibration process with client group, including facilitation of annual performance rating calibration sessions with client leaders (all levels)
Analysis & Strategic Thinking
* Completes annual, and ad hoc analysis of employee and talent data including:
* Position Management
* Headcount, Turnover
* Internal equity
* Diversity
* Employee satisfaction
* Uses analysis of facts and data to:
* Develop innovative strategies and roadmaps aligned to the strategic business goals
* HR solutions, programs, and policies with the COEs
* Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning
* Partners with senior leaders to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities and provides strategies to get the best results from employees
* Assess the employee implications of business decisions and recommends mitigating strategies to ensure employees stay productive and engaged.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:
* Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Psychology, or a related discipline;
* Minimum 12 years of experience in an HR Business Partner, Employee Relations, or similar role with a focus on partnering with senior leaders and performance consulting
* Demonstrated ability to analyze data from an HRIS, Workday preferred
* Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable law, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
* Demonstrate skills in building relationships, internal consulting, organization and talent assessment, and employee development
