Job Description
Baptist Health Pharmacy teams are committed to ensuring the optimal, safe, and effective use of medications for all patients through advanced technology and innovative application of skilled personnel that will improve clinical outcomes and community health in a value-based environment.
Outpatient staff pharmacists are responsible for preparing and dispensing medications at Baptist Health Outpatient Pharmacies; evaluating appropriateness through clinical review, completing data entry, and verifying accuracy of new medication orders, assisting providers and other health care professionals by serving as a drug information resource, monitoring and managing medication regimens per protocol and per consult, and managing pharmacy inventory. Outpatient staff pharmacists are accountable for supporting the management, oversight, and operation of all aspects within the pharmacy including supervising pharmacy technicians and interns as applicable.
Education, Training, and Experience Required
Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy with BS in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy degree.
Kentucky or Indiana Pharmacist License (as it applies to practice site) or eligible to apply.
Experience in outpatient or retail pharmacy practice preferred.
Possesses knowledge in drug information, disease state management, third party claim adjudication and legal requirements of pharmacy practices.
