What youll do on a typical day:
* Repair and maintain site ABB robotics, GreyOrange butlers, conveyors and wrappers
* Follow and execute basic functional testing procedures for equipment
* Perform necessary preventive maintenance in a timely manner with adequate recordkeeping
* Locate sources of problems by observing and monitoring the automation field; diagnose and make repairs
* Document performance of preventive maintenance, equipment repair, part usages, etc.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, youll need:
* 2 years of experience as a multi-craft technician
* Experience with Microsoft Office
* Knowledge of electrical, electronic, pneumatic and mechanical systems
* Ability to read simple electrical, mechanical and pneumatic drawings
Itd be great if you also have:
* High school diploma or equivalent, and specialized vocational training
* Associate or bachelors degree
* Ability to access any area of the equipment to perform necessary maintenance; including inspect and perform work in, on or under parts of trailers. Ability to operate PIT equipment
* Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time on various surfaces that may be uneven or slippery; safely reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the job duties
* Knowledge of electrical, electronic, pneumatic and mechanical systems, including drives, motors, bearings, various conveyor systems, PLCs and HVAC systems
* Certifications in various fields, such as conveyors and other technical areas
