This position is responsible for all repairs and maintenance for all building and grounds equipment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Repairs and refinishes floors, walls and roofs of all buildings using all materials, compounds, paints and tools required.
Cleans walls, ceilings, floors, parking lots, walkways, loading docks, lights, etc., using materials and equipment as required.
Re-lamping of interior and exterior lamping.
Removes snow and ice from all parking lots, walks, steps, ramps, docks, etc., as required.
Assist Maintenance Mechanic as required.
Assists supervisor in training new employees in the proper use and operation of all equipment as well as the proper use of materials and application of methods used in the buildings and grounds department.
Unlock gates or provide vendor access as required; purchase and Maintain inventory for supplies and equipment.

Expected Areas of Competence
* Able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and/or 5th shift operations when required. Core Hours 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
* Must be able to work with industrial and construction equipment.
* Experience using all hand tools, tamper, trencher, grader, sod cutter, post hole digger, trucks, tractor, snow plow, snow blower, lift truck, paint spraying equipment, ladder, high jacks, scaffolding, scrubber, buffer, grinder, sweepers, and steam cleaner is preferred.
* Able to lift 50 lbs.
* Able to work outside during inclement weather.
* Must be able to read building blueprints and mechanical schematics.
* Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Internet Search Engines).
* Must be able to read site drawings.
* Must be able to solder and/or weld pipe fitting.
Education/Experience Requirements
* High School or GED (Plumbing, Carpentry, Handyman experience or equivalent).
* Vehicle Operators License in good standing.
