To operate pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment to process ingredients according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Batch Production Records (BPR’s), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) to produce dried, Wet and/or Milled product.

Comply with all local, state and federal EHS laws and regulations, and all GSK Global EHS requirements.
Perform basic mathematical computation, read, follow, and document adherence to detailed instructions identified within the SOP’s and BPR’s
Operate forklift and pallet jack
Operate pharmaceutical machinery and equipment (including but not limited to; controls and valves, scales, machines, and blenders)
Ability to work without direct supervision and closely adhere to instructions. High level of dependability and integrity required.
Additional duties as assigned may include cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, assisting with Cleaning and Sanitizing procedures that include using ~180°F process water
Move and lift heavy materials (up to 50lbs independently, and 100 lbs with assistance), climb, bend, scrap for cleaning of the of the blender, maneuver all work areas
Perform and understand critical safety procedures and execute Lock out Tag Out process consistently in addition to providing feedback on ways to improve safety, quality, waste and production targets
Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including Coverall/Tyvek suit, hood, gloves, steel-toed shoes and Supplied Air/full face respirator
Motivated to trouble shoot issues in a timely manner to ensure adherence to production demands and demonstrate flexibility regarding scheduling and changing production needs (including weekend work and overtime 12 hour shifts)
Attention to detail to ensure batch right first time and appropriate analytical problem solving skills to be deployed in the event of an excursion or non-conformance

1-2 years experience in production (Mixing/Blending)
Preferred Qualifications:

Must be flexible with schedule and adjust to changing production needs, including weekend work, overtime and 12 hour shifts.
Proper weighing, blending and drying raw materials according to Good Manufacturing Practice, Standard Operating Procedures, Cleaning and Sanitizing Procedures, Batch Production Records, etc.
Obtain GSK Forklift Certification
Transportation and proper storage of raw materials and ensure adequate supply of product.
Operating equipment and monitoring controls for consistent batch processing.
Maintaining equipment and manufacturing rooms in clean and sanitary condition.
Know and execute proper action for all deviations.
Work to achieve set targets (safety, batches right first time, production, waste, etc.) and provide root causes for targets not achieved.
Drive continuous improvement, providing feedback on ways to improve safety, quality, waste and production targets.
Perform minor preventative, scheduled maintenance and maintain personal PPE.
Good penmanship and oral communication skills.
