Job Description
Summary
Wisconsin Public Service, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is currently recruiting for a Distribution Dispatcher for our Green Bay, WI location. This position works a rotating shift schedule that includes day, evening, night and weekend shifts.
Responsibilities:
* Provides emergency and non-emergency dispatch of gas and electric trouble events to field responders.
* Communicate important customer and facility information to field responders with use of phone, computer and radio systems.
* Ensure efficient incoming and outgoing employee communications.
* Connects with field responders and dispatches gas & electric trouble events.
* Manages trouble events and records field responder activities.
* Monitor weather reports, implement storm procedures.
* Dispatch and request emergency locates.
* Dispatchers use many computer systems and often need to multi-task during high volume times.
* Perform other related and incidental duties as assigned.
Minimum Education Requirements
* High School Diploma or GED/HSED.
* Successful completion of a credited Technical College AC/DC course.
Or
* Successful completion of a credited Technical College Line Electrician Course.
Minimum Experience Requirements
* 1 year of distribution utility experience in either electric, gas or call center operations.
* 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office products.
Preferred Qualifications:
* General knowledge of gas distribution operations.
* Experience with digitized mapping systems and outage management systems.
* Mechanical drawing and electric/gas system design.
