Job Summary:
The Manager, Marketing is responsible for brand and content marketing initiatives for D+. This individual will work collaboratively with the marketing and content teams at Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic, as well as collaborating on the creative marketing efforts for Brand and Independent titles coming from the D+ content team. The Manager, Marketing produces, directs, and oversees campaigns across titles and brand initiatives, working closely with the VP of Marketing
Responsibilities:
* Assist VP, Marketing in briefing and creative directing campaign assets for print, AV, and product/platform needs for title and brand campaigns. Understands creative trends and ensures that all D+ and/or bundle marketing efforts feel premium, engaging, and appropriate for the D+ and/or bundle audience.
* Conceive, create, and prepare presentations to share ideas and concepts to management and partners across brands and stakeholders at TWDC.
* Oversee print and AV production process for paid media and synergy campaigns working closely with media buying team and agencies to digest robust plans and ensure deliverables and assets are created to spec and delivered accurately, on-deadline.
* Manage creative assets developed by partner studio teams (TWDC Studios, Nat Geo, ABC, Disney Channel) and work with the VP, Creative to ensure they all fold into the larger D+ brand guidelines in a creatively cohesive manner. Collaborate with those teams and build relationships and trust with partner creative leaders.
* Manage relationships and projects with creative agencies to execute creative deliverables.
* Work closely and collaboratively in a matrixed work environment with project management, strategy, content, product and operations across Disney+ and across TWDC to ensure creative alignment and successful delivery of assets and creative materials.
* Navigate through multiple business-focused partner departments (legal, business affairs, finance, brand management) to deliver creative results that meet business needs and requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
* 5+ years extensive experience marketing entertainment properties.
* Experience at either a studio, network, or agency environment with an extensive knowledge of the layers and processes behind creative marketing.
* Possesses strong creative point of view and aesthetic to ensure that Disney+ marketing materials are produced at a high level.
* Experience with print production, static asset creative and key art creative concepting.
* Demonstrated ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, make decisions and change course of action quickly
* Experience working across multiple mediums print, AV, digital and outdoor.
* Keen eye for design, and ability to art direct development of logos, artwork, AV and digital creative.
* Excellent writing and communication skills.
* Passionate about storytelling, particularly in short form AV or static mediums.
* Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and within a matrixed reporting environment
* Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure successful interactions, strong working relationships and the ability to interface with varied levels of management, peers and partners across varying teams
* Highly collaborative creative sensibility, with ability to be open minded to feedback and always seeking out the best idea, not just their own idea.
* Understanding and open-mindedness to data and analytics helping guide creative choices.
* Ability to work collaboratively with engineering and product teams to use data to inform decisions.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Understanding the business necessities of a startup/launch property experience defining and creating new systems or processes.
* Experience with streaming platform marketing how a DTC product works, and how to make effective marketing materials to drive engagement and subscriber growth
Required Education
* Bachelors degree. Preferably a degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Cinema/Television or related field.
