Title: Supply Center Specialist Supervisor
Reports To: Sr. Manager, Supply Centers
Position Objective:
To assist the Americas Supply Center team with activities related to the operations functions of Thermo Fisher Scientific Supply Center Channel and Supervisor Supply Center Specialist Team.
Job Summary:
Contributes to improving/streamlining current operations practices, including procurement of new equipment, coordinating servicing of existing equipment, product mix optimization, and, managing Supply Center Specialist Team. Interacts frequently with the Sales team, addressing account specific needs as required.
Essential Functions
* Manage existing Team of Supply Center Specialist
* Assist with Operations activities of the channel related to new and existing customer equipment needs.
* Will work with Sales to perform regular SKU mix updates for all Supply Center offerings including: Storerooms and non-SCS Classic Supply Center accounts.
* Perform other related duties as required and/or assigned
Skills Required:
* Manage a team of full and part time FTE and OAE employees.
* Understands analytical, operational, marketing concepts with the ability to exercise judgment within generally defined procedures.
* Predominately works on tasks/duties that are diverse in nature using business knowledge.
* Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
* Good organizational skills and prioritization capabilities with an ability to see a task through to completion and meet deadlines.
* Strong oral and written communication skill to provide appropriate information
* Applicant will be expected to work independently with little instruction on routine work but more detail instruction on new assignment
* Proven ability to see improvement opportunities and to set and meet aggressive objectives
Experience
* Prior experience or education in operations
* Prior experience managing a Team and demonstrating Leadership
* Experience in life science a plus
* Demonstrated analytical skills: data-mining or database
* Demonstrated skills in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Education
Requires a BA or BS in business related studies
