Thermo Fisher Scientifics Information Technology department is seeking an IT Software Developer with a DevOps mindset to support our MES (Manufacturing Execution System) software and processes for our site in Pleasanton, CA
How Will You Make An Impact?
In this role you will work closely with the MES IT teams and stakeholders across various sites and with other IT teams as needed. You will help to make the manufacturing process more efficient and your input will be crucial for introducing new products for our customers.
What Will You Do?
The individual will plan, design, and/or implement efficient new functionality for our MES to drive projects for New Product Introductions and Continuous Improvements.
How Will You Get Here?
* BS in Computer Science or similar degree
* Experience with Siemens Opcenter / CAMSTAR Manufacturing Execution System (Camstar Designer, modelling, IOA, MIO)
* 3+ years experience with object-oriented concepts and programming
* Experience with change management procedures.
* Strong understanding of development SDLC (preferably Iterative/Agile).
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; Attention to details is critical
* Strong understanding of Oracle technologies (ODBC, Object Oriented database design, query optimization/tuning, PL/SQL
* Thorough understanding and ability to use source control / configuration management tools
* understanding of QA / QC process and test methodologies
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; attention to detail is crucial
* Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and drive
