How will you make an impact?
Our new Senior Manager will have a solid record of building online scientific communities. The successful candidate combines solid Digital Marketing experience with a strong connection to the established scientific community that our products serve. She or he will be passionate about the customer and committed to building Thermo Fisher revenue through eCommerce and the lead funnel.
What will you do?
* Integrate existing community sites into a common platform for colleagues and customers
* Articulate your vision for a technical online resource for customers and prospects that is well organized, easy to navigate, and unique in its field
* Nurture and grow internal relationships with the goal of creating a pipeline of technical information required to keep the community site current, relevant, and attractive to our customers and prospects.
* Manage and improve Web content production workflows, striving towards efficiency in developing the high-quality and useful content that helps us achieve our shared goals
* Develop expertise on our analytical systems (SalesForce, Domo, Google and Adobe Analytics) and use the data to conduct tests and investigations designed to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
* Master the procurement and payment systems required for vendor support, managing budget and keeping spend on track
* Contribute meaningfully to discussions on roles and responsibilities, leadership and process improvement workshops across CMD and Thermo Fisher
How will you get here?
* MS or PhD in Analytical Chemistry or related field. MBA a strong asset.
* Over 10 years of experience progressing through positions of increasing responsibility in highly technical Sales and Marketing environment
* Over 3 years of experience developing online communities from concept to monetization
* Demonstrated and sustained success executing Sales and Marketing programs at a Fortune-200 company
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
* Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communications, independent creative thinking, extensive technical expertise, strong and trusted connection to the customer base and internal colleagues
* Mastery of technologies associated with Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry
* Experience working on Community platform technologies such as Khoros or Higher Logic
* Familiarity with modern Digital Marketing tactics including SEO, SEM, Email, Social, Third Party, Content, Marketing Automation
* Demonstrated success working globally and cross-functionally with colleagues in Product Management, Commercial, Marketing, eBusiness, Information Technology, Human Resources, Accounting, and Legal
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, time management and communication skills
* Keen attention to detail and a high regard for quality
* Strong organization, verbal communication and presentation skills
* Ability to travel 2-4 weeks per quarter for team, project, and business meetings
