Summary:

We are searching for an Appointment Scheduler -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will schedule appointments, provide and obtain pertinent information, maintain patient demographic and insurance information, and process messages for physicians and staff.

Responsibilities :

* Schedule appointments per practice protocol
* Demonstrates ability to use judgment when scheduling providers templates
* Answers telephone within three (3) rings and directs calls per practice protocol
* Verifies accurate patient demographic information with each visit and enters into electronic health record per practice protocol with 100% accuracy
* Monitors returned mail and flags electronic health record per practice protocol
* Demonstrates Creating SMILES and AIDET philosophies to patients, families, and co-workers
* Takes complete and error free documentation in telephone encounter and routes to appropriate area per practice protocol
* Keeps customers informed by explaining all tasks, processes, and procedures

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or GED required
* Knowledge of related OSHA guidelines and requirements
* Ability to provide excellent customer service, to act in a professional manner, to type, to scan, to use a multi-line telephone, computer, fax, and copier
