Our Large Drives Application Business is looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager

Position Overview

The Siemens Industry Large Drives Application (LDA) business is looking for a someone in the Testbed Application field to lead and purposefully expand our footprint within key accounts in private and public sectors. You will be able to craft account business plans based on the global strategy and develop the agreed measures and opportunities. This role will have the flexibility to engage the customers on Siemens behalf and provide consultation as the industry expert for Testbed Applications.

Responsibilities

* Develop and maximize the strategic account penetration
* Prepare and present commercial proposals and global support
* Expand long term partnership with accounts
* Prepare account business plan for assigned accounts and follow up with local sales
* Collect business opportunities and build business visibility with assigned accounts
* Understand customer challenges and develop solutions and ideas based on Siemens Test Application portfolio
* Actively drive LDA Test application portfolio at the accounts
* Represent Siemens on industry dedicated events and fairs
* Increase overall presence and reputation at the assigned accounts

Required knowledge/skills, Education, and Experience

The Business Development Manager is experienced in Test Application architectures involving multiple products and technologies and has extensive knowledge in developing accounts, building and growing customer relationship is a strength.

* More than 8 years Business Development / Key Account Management / Sales and related management experience with track record of successful performance, preferably in the relevant industry/market
* Minimum 5 years experience in leading sophisticated projects/customers successfully.
* Able to work effectively with individuals from multiple cultures and backgrounds.
* Validated expertise in developing account business plans and strategic customer approaches
* Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience (BS in Electrical Engineering preferred)
* Executive Level Presence / Communication & Strong Presentation Skills
* Sophisticated technical understanding of Integrated Variable Frequency Drives, rotating electrical motors as well as Transformers and Switchgear (Integrated Drive Systems).
* Basic understanding of electro-mechanical requirements for test application (e.g gear boxes, transmissions, engines etc.)
* Travel >60% nationally USA
* Preferred locations (Atlanta, Chicago, Denver)
