JOB SUMMARY:
The Disaster Recovery Engineer is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining Disaster Recovery functions for Realogys computing environment. The Disaster Recovery Engineer works closely with customers, external support groups, internal IT teams, and service providers to ensure that recovery services are available when needed, that the DR environment is tested regularly, and that the results of all tests are fully documented and communicated to Realogy management. This position reports to the Systems Engineering Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Configure and maintain disaster recovery services for Realogys Windows environment using Azure Site Recovery.
* Plan, implement, and maintain a new DR environment for a large CentOS / Kubernetes environment.
* Maintain server and application inventories for servers within the Disaster Recovery program. Create and maintain appropriate documentation for all protection and recovery processes.
* Work with application owners to identify and implement appropriate recovery solutions for their environments.
* Perform disaster recovery testing according to the requirements of each protected system or application.
* Create and document automated processes for recovering servers and applications in the disaster recovery environment.
* Provide Incident support by responding to incidents via system notifications, notifications from the offshore support team and the incident ticketing system
* Participate on projects by attending project meetings and delivering on tasks as assigned.
* Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or related discipline or 4+ equivalent years of experience supporting a large scale, complex, diverse environment.
* Familiarity with disaster recovery methodology and terminology for a diverse range of DR solutions. (on-prem to cloud, cloud to cloud, on-prem to on-prem)
* Technical knowledge of VMWare, Azure and AWS.
* Technical knowledge of Microsoft Technologies Windows Server, Clustering, AAG Clustering, Microsoft SQL, DFS, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
* Technical knowledge of CentOS and Kubernetes.
* Experience with scripting and Azure automation.
* Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, analytical ability, judgment, and the ability to deliver high levels of performance and customer satisfaction.
This position can be performed anywhere except Colorado.
