ROLE SUMMARY
Pfizers Sourcing & Enterprise Services Organization is developing a new operating model to deliver select Procurement services from the network of Global Business Services regional shared service centers or hubs.
The Source to Contract Operations Lead will oversee a global team of regional hub-based colleagues, which collectively is responsible for the execution of Sourcing, Contracting, Savings, and Low-Value/Low-Risk Category Management activities. The Lead will provide effective recruiting, leadership, motivation, planning, control, and measurement for the Source to Contract Operations team. The Lead will collaborate with Sourcing Leaders and Category Managers in developing sourcing and contracting strategies for centralized and regional categories. The Lead will be responsible for enabling the category specific strategy, enabling technology strategy and roadmap, proactively identifying process improvement/automation initiatives, and developing and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance to meet the agreed upon service-level agreements (SLAs).
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead central support of Source-to-Contract governance processes, providing facilitation, scorecard tracking, and reporting, to the Sourcing & Enterprise Services Leadership Team (SESLT) and their respective organizations
* Manage administrative/operational activities for global and/or regional Source-to-Contract processes, ensuring alignment to organizational goals and strategy
* Direct and manage team members supporting the in-scope sourcing and contracting activities at the regional/global hubs
* Provide coaching for the development of personnel and manage the yearly process to make sure team leads and colleagues fulfill their duties
* Evaluate staff performance and conduct; authorize job training for the development of the professional competence of the staff
* Manage all appropriate stakeholders and Sourcing & Enterprise Services relationships, including with Legal, Digital, and Compliance
* Work effectively across functions to realize strategic objectives as defined by category owners
* Oversee and provide guidance on the development of strategy and process for sourcing RFX execution and contract execution best practices, and delivery of preferred sourcing templates, RFXs, etc.
* Oversee business application functionality in support of Sourcing and Contract operations; problem assessment, issue resolution, quality assurance, security and access, and compliance to enterprise-wide policies and procedures
* Accountable for overall organizational efficiency through effective partnering with customers, analysts, and technology support teams to provide end-to-end Sourcing and Contract Operations delivery
* Provide direction and lead initiatives on Source to Contract optimization and process capability improvement opportunities
* Collaborate with other Sourcing leaders and regional hub teams for information and best practice sharing
* Develop scorecards to measure and monitor compliance as well as efficiency and economic value of processes
* Drive continuous improvement in procurement policies, processes and tools
* Develop and implement processes, governance model, policy and procedures, reporting, and tools including communications and change management
* Manage cross-functional teams to design, document and implement standard processes related to sourcing and contract execution
* Maintain documentation of Process Maps, Technology Development Roadmaps and corresponding Work Instructions and Playbooks
* Monitor and analyze performance to deliver innovation and corrective-actions
* Coordinate with Legal to manage Contract template repository and Contract template selection guidance through company portal
* Take necessary measures to improve and maintain Sourcing & Enterprise Services data quality
* Provide project management and training support for technology upgrade or improvement plans
* Participate in internal/external audits for in-scope activities
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
* 10+ years work experience in a sourcing and/or procurement related role and experience leading large, diverse teams on a global basis
* Bachelors degree in a business, supply chain, or related field; MBA preferred
* Demonstrates highly developed team leadership skills with the ability to manage internal / external resources to achieve project objectives
* Demonstrated track record of high performance and producing outstanding results and resourceful in dealing with barriers or difficult situations
* Outstanding project management, organizational skills and ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and ability to synthesize complex information to provide accurate and meaningful reporting and updates to key senior stakeholders
* Discretion and the ability to deal with confidential information
* Embraces, supports and leads change and ability to influence and motivate others without expressing authority
* Strong ability to lead, challenge, and positively influence in a global team environment (includes coaching and staff development)
* Advanced Microsoft Office capabilities, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
* Proficiency with SAP Ariba suite
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience as a leader / manager within a Shared Service or Center of Excellence function
* Strong knowledge of Global Sourcing and Contracting systems, processes, and tools
