ROLE SUMMARY
The Senior Director, Team Leader, PCA Marketing is responsible for leading a team of experienced marketing professionals to establish market access in the US for a portfolio of inline and pre-approval brands. This leader has oversight responsibility and leadership for all facets related to developing and executing access strategies for the portfolio and products within the US I&I and Rare Disease portfolio. This high-profile position will manage multiple direct reports. This position and corresponding team(s) will work collaboratively across various stakeholders, including BU and PCA Leadership, PHI, and Brand Leadership. Through these activities, this leader is accountable for specified OPPLAN access targets as well as net sales attainment for their respective portfolios.
Specific priorities will include (1) developing and managing an engaged team (2) building and delivering high impact value platforms (3) payer matrix team leadership and effectiveness (4) launch readiness including Abro, Gene Tx, Alopecia, and Somatrogon (5) and advancing new and innovative payer marketing methods.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Oversees development and execution of brand access strategies aligned to brand strategies and the needs of customers and the Account Team
* Ensures timely and quality development of payer value platforms across portfolio, including the PVP and incorporating insights from payer customers, PAM, PHI (e.g. HEOR), Customer Marketing, Strategy & Analytics, and other internal and external stakeholders
* Effectively communicates with Sr leadership (PCA, Brand at VP/President level) on variety of topics (e.g. OPPLAN, customer RFP, formulary changes, contracts) on a formal (OPPLAN) and ad hoc (e.g. customer issue) basis
* Understands and evaluates the changing payer/channel environment across multiple therapeutic areas to proactively provide strategic implications and recommendations to key leaders in BUs; responds to customer and market needs while maintaining a deep understanding of payer customers and stakeholders
* Integrates new and innovative solutions, including digital, to enhance Payer Customer engagement and value delivery
* Works closely with Brand, PCA, Medical, MOS and PHI counterparts to ensure coordinated and integrated activities including development of evidence, data, resources, and analyses
* Leads cross functional teams to align objectives and improve execution/evolution of payer strategies and tactics
* Identifies opportunities to improve team processes and controls
* Informs and facilitates pricing evaluations and decisions as well as GTN assumptions, leveraging analytics platform
* Supports business development and launch pricing/access assessments
* Ensures development of strong payer operating plans and strategies aligned with account and brand goals
* Supports advancement of payer and marketing training and community of practice
* Accomplishes department objectives through strong team leadership and management, including establishing annual goals, holding team accountable, and coaching and developing colleagues while ensuring adherence to departmental policies and procedures
* Promotes the opportunity for personal/professional growth of their team by providing the necessary tools, coaching and training
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
* Masters Degree in business and/or healthcare field with at least 10+ years of marketing, consulting or payer experience
* Strategy, marketing, market research, and/or business development experience
* Strong record of accomplishment is required
* Mastery of U.S. health and reimbursement systems
* Expert project management and facilitation skills
