Position Summary Provide leadership of Materials Management activities for the division in support of the Parker WIN Strategy. Will develop and execute strategies within a lean enterprise environment concentrating on people, organization, process and information technology. Scope/Supervision and Interaction Position will report to the Division Production Control Manager and interacts with other functional leaders. Works with suppliers, business units, procurement, planners, I/T and other appropriate resources to strategically plan and coordinate the flow of materials and information from customers through order fulfillment. Responsibilities also include leading logistics, shipping, receiving and inventory functions.
Essential Functions Promote and foster safe work environment Manages strategic planning practices Implements a lean approach to materials management including material flow and inventory control Completes demand forecasting and supply planning to ensure the availability of all materials and products at minimum cost Execute PFEP & capacity planning activities to support site/value stream(s) performance Analyzes inventories, develops and executes plans to balance days supply of inventory and optimize customer service Collaborates with business partners to optimize customer experience by utilizing buying and reselling strategies and warehouse management Establishes and implements standard re-order and delivery procedures Balances supply with demand through Sales and Operations Planning implementation and execution with the minimum amount of Parkers capacity Utilizes forecasting tools to create effective demand management processes Employs data analysis and information technology to improve site/value stream(s) performance Responsible for part data accuracy (item master) Create development plans for materials management team members and ensure talent pipeline is in place for key functions
Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain or Operations Management, Business, Engineering or Other required. Professional certification APICS or ISM preferred Minimum 3-5 years applicable experience in materials management, supply chain or operations Analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities Demonstrated proficiency in MRP, Microsoft Programs Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts Understanding of lean enterprise principles and practices
