Basic Job Functions:
This position will be responsible for designing, configuring, securing, maintaining, and troubleshooting networks and networked systems. This position will be collaborating with individuals both inside IT and across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Minimum 3 years of experience in an IT environment administering and supporting systems & network infrastructure; OR a Bachelors in Information Systems, Computer Science, TSM, or related field.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of TCP/IP, sub-netting, and VLANs
3. Experience managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Windows servers
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelors in Information Systems, Computer Science, TSM, or related field
2. MCSA certification or equivalent
3. Net+, CCNA certification, or equivalent
4. Experience in the following areas:
* Cisco Switches
* Cisco Firewalls
* Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers
* VMWare
* PowerShell scripting
* VPN technologies
* VOIP technologies
* Microsoft PowerApps
* Fiber Optic termination
* SharePoint administration
* SAN administration
5. Project management experience
6. Customer support or helpdesk experience
7. Manufacturing-related IT experience, with a preference for process-related industries similar to the steel environment

Nucor Corporation manufactures and sells steel and steel products in the United States and internationally. It operates in three segments: Steel Mills, Steel Products, and Raw Materials. The Steel Mills segment produces hot-rolled, cold-rolled, and galvanized sheet steel products; plate steel products; wide-flange beams, beam blanks, and H-piling and sheet piling products; bar steel products, such as blooms, billets, concrete reinforcing and merchant bars, and special bar quality products. It also engages in the steel trading and rebar distribution businesses.
This segment sells its products to steel service centers, fabricators, and manufacturers in automotive, energy, agricultural, heavy equipment, and transportation sectors. The Steel Products segment offers hollow structural section steel tubing products, electrical conduits, steel joists and joist girders, steel decks, fabricated concrete reinforcing steel products, cold finished steel products, steel fasteners, metal building systems, steel grating and expanded metal products, and wire and wire mesh products to general contractors, fabricators, distributors, and manufacturers.
This segment also engages in the piling distribution business. The Raw Materials segment produces direct reduced iron (DRI); processes ferrous and nonferrous metals; brokers ferrous and nonferrous metals, pig iron, DRI, and hot briquetted iron; supplies ferro-alloys; and processes ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal, as well as engages in the natural gas drilling operations. This segment sells its ferrous scrap to electric arc furnace steel mills and foundries for manufacturing process; and nonferrous scrap metal to aluminum can producers, secondary aluminum smelters, steel mills and other processors, and consumers of various nonferrous metals.
The company offers its products through its in-house sales forces; and internal distribution and trading companies. The company was founded in 1940 and is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
