About this role
What will you be responsible for?
The primary purpose of the Director, Treasury is to lead the financial and credit analysis, reporting, and compliance areas within the Treasury department, lead all aspects of the Companys Debt and Capital Markets analysis, global hedge programs, debt compliance reporting, US and Canadian pension investment oversight, global metal sales (dore) and managing customer credit approvals for the organization. This position will report to the GE Finance, Risk & Assistant Treasurer and support the goals of the Treasury team. This individual will develop functional expertise within the team and lead all aspects of pension investment management, global hedging, gold metal sales, financing arrangements and contract review. In addition, this position will be the subject matter specialist for capital markets, credit and financial risk management for the organization. The Manager Metal Sales and Manager Pensions & Capital Markets will report directly to the Director, Treasury.

Financial Analysis and Capital Markets
* Financial analysis in support of the organizations Capital Allocation Strategy; based on ELT direction
* Subject matter specialist in capital markets including debt and equity
* Responsible for company level debt compliance and reporting
* Ad hoc financial modeling related to liability and equity management exercises
* Oversight of preparation of payment requests for debt related activity
Financial Risk Management Hedging and Derivatives
* Lead all aspects of execution of current and future FX and commodity hedge programs in line with company standards and operating procedures
* Perform mark to market and efficiency testing calculations, explain variances
* We work closely with Accounting Department to explain programs and support hedge accounting treatment
* We assist in design and implementation of future hedge programs as needed
* Lead all aspects of administrative office functions for hedge trades, confirmations and settlements
* Quarterly Hedge Committee reporting oversight
Reporting
* Responsible for Board of Directors and Audit Committee reporting for the function
* Fixed income investor and rating agency presentations
* Quarterly Treasury Report
* Management of annual budget process for Treasury Department
Customer Credit
* We lead all aspects of process for ensuring oversight of the global Credit Exposure Standard Commodity Sales
* Review documentation related to credit approval conclusions through financial analysis and qualitative assessment of each customer
* We research and recommend credit improvement products for new or existing customers who do not meet the Companys credit quality standards including, but not limited to: letters of credit, cash collateral and parent guarantees
* We prepare quarterly reporting for Newmont Goldcorps Credit Committee and Senior Management
Compliance & Departmental Responsibilities
* We ensure ISDA requirements are up to date for hedging purposes
* Maintain Legal Entity Identifier database for business continuity
* We run SOX reporting activities as the need arises
* Manage Treasury annual budgeting process
* Serve as primary point of contact with Business Planning team
Pension
* Lead all aspects of the Manager of Pensions, ensuring objectives of pension investments are in line with investment charters for each plan (US and Canada)
* Manage the external relationship with the pension investment advisory firm, Cook Street, and pension Investment fund firm, Russell Investments
* Coordinate the quarterly pension meetings ensuring that the investment standards are addressed
Metal (Dore) Sales
* Lead all aspects of the dore sales, revenue generating process for the organization, negotiating and serving as the primary point of contact with gold refineries
* Primary point of contact for refiners and associated relationships
Your training, skills, and experience checklist
* BS degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field. Masters degree preferred.
* Minimum of 10 years working experience in treasury or related field.
* Experience working in mining or similar industry preferred
* Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets for statistical analysis and commercial evaluations.
* Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills

* Knowledge of mining operations and sales products required
* Knowledge of capital markets, pension, and hedging required
* Excellent executive presentation skills required

The salary range offered for this role is $127,360-167,160. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidates salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the companys performance and their own individual performance. This role also will be eligible for participation in a discretionary long-term incentive program, pursuant to which an employee may receive awards based on their level and individual performance.
