Principal Program Manager lead is responsible to ensure that our partner product & field teams within Microsoft and ISV/SI partners outside Microsoft are setup for success. You'll be responsible for working with customers across all capabilities of the product and ensure that progress with partners is communicated to other members of the team.

You'll be responsible for:

* Enablement of partner product and engineering teams to participate in the data governance platform ecosystem by adding enforcement points, lineage and meta-data for systems within and outside Microsoft
* Working with other PMs, Engineers, Business Development and Partner Development teams to enable collaboration with ISVs in the data, analytics and governance (catalog, access, security)
* Working with field technical and delivery teams within Microsoft and SIs outside Microsoft to enable customers with a varied data estate and ecosystem of tools
* Working to build an open source ecosystem based on data policy language and evangelize among a community of developers

This role requires working with partners remotely and various remote engineering and PM teams across Redmond, California, Shanghai and Bangalore.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Mathematics or Physics or IT technical discipline or in place of 8+ years of internship or 8+ years of industry engineering experience
* 8+ years of professional program management or product management or related experience
* Experience with Database technologies OR security for data technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

* 3+ years of experience creating a community of open source developers or ecosystems
* Outstanding spoken and written communication and soft negotiation skills
* Great curiosity and willingness to question
