We are looking for a RFIC Design Research Scientist within the Advanced Technology Center (ATC). In this role, you will be involved in the definition, design and test of novel systems on a chip for mmWave applications. We will look for you to define system and chip specifications, work with packaging engineers, and mentor junior engineers.
We are seeking a colleague with excellent communication skills who enjoys working independently, but also thrives within a larger team. Ideally, you will have a relevant publication history in the field. You should demonstrate deep knowledge of system trade-offs and electronics performance, as well as layout experience through tape-out without supervision.

You would typically have a Bachelors degree and 14-20 years of professional experience, a Masters and 12-18 years, or a PhD and 9-15 years.

Basic Qualifications:
Fundamentals of microwave circuits (e.g. noise, linearity analysis), analog circuits, device
Solid understanding of RFIC design flow in the Cadence Virtuoso environment
Proven track record of RFIC, Analog IC design in CMOS and/or SiGe at mmWave frequencies
Strong knowledge of systems design of transceivers for communications, radar, and/or integrated phased arrays
Design experience in key blocks: LNA, PA, VGA, Phase Shifters, VCO, IF amplifiers, Mixers, etc.
Experience in the design of passive components, such as inductors, transformers, transmission lines using 2.5D and 3D EM solvers (EMX, Peakview, HFSS, etc.)
US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance to the TS/SCI level
