Job Description:

Owner of the Manufacturing, assembly and test value stream for a process focus area (MCA, CCA, SEM, or F&T;) for Manufacturing Operations for the SAS Electronic Warfare (EW) manufacturing organization. This leadership role is responsible for the successful on time delivery of assemblies, process improvements, first pass yields, budgets and overall efficiency and effectiveness of an assembly and test Process Focus Team. The successful candidate will lead all value stream mapping, Kaizens, equipment re-layouts and product flow, waste elimination, work center prioritization, staffing, capacity, 5S, and Lean improvements of the Process Focus Team.

This leader will work under the direction of an Operations Manager, with support from a Test Operations COE lead and a Mfg. Engineering COE lead. Responsibilities include supporting internal and external security audits, support and serve as primary contact for AS-9100 audits within manufacturing, hire and support cross training of all assembly technicians, and lead compliant execution of all operating and test procedures.

Essential Functions:

* Value stream mapping, waste elimination, on time delivery, first pass yields, work order unit cost execution, deployment of visual management, staffing, program budget estimate at completion (EAC) compliance, producibility and production entry of new products, tooling maintenance and control, work center 5S, and Lean improvements within a manufacturing assembly and test work center.
* Lead, coach and mentor team members in continuous improvement efforts. Metrics to be tracked, measured and corrective actions initiated on include process cycle time, process efficiency, percent delivery on-time to internal master schedule, first pass yield, overtime goals, cost objectives, and goal deployment plan (GDP) performance.
* Lead and manage the manufacturing engineering tasks specific to the PFT including manufacturing production entry, traveler documentation, bid and proposal NRE, and technical build support.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
* 5+ years of leadership experience in Manufacturing, Test, Engineering or Program Management environment.
* Active Secret Clearance.
* Prior experience with electronics manufacturing and test.
* Experience in implementing LEAN, and cost and cycle time productivity improvements.

Preferred Additional Skills:

* Demonstrated experience in Lean principles
* Black Belt or Green Belt certification a plus.
* Ability to develop and build a high performing organization.
