L3Harris is searching for a talented and dynamic Procurement Representative to join its Indirect Procurement team in Melbourne, Florida location. This individual will be part of a team environment focused on supplier management, procurement, terms and conditions adherence, and negotiation. Must be able to procure material, equipment, supplies, services, and commodity products of varying value and volume based off requirements. Remote employment will be considered for the ideal candidate.

Job Responsibilities:

* Procure indirect material, equipment, supplies, services, and commodity products of low to medium value and medium to high volume
* Evaluate cost and analyze supplier bids to attain best overall value
* Drive cost saving, avoidance and quality improvement with suppliers
* Negotiate price, delivery and quality of products/services and determine supplier selections
* Track all Purchase Orders through reports, work matched exceptions, open commitments, receiving discrepancies, returns, supplier discrepancies, and problem reports/supplier corrective action responses. Interface with receiving and accounting to resolve issues
* Manage supplier relationship through the acquisition process
* Confer with suppliers to determine factors that affect competitive total cost of ownership consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Evaluate root cause and corrective action with suppliers on late delivery performance
* Interpret FAR/DFAR/ITAR laws, rules and regulations regarding import/export control certifications and licenses

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree with and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in Supply Chain principles and concepts, spend management tools, purchasing insight into buying and selling principles, negotiations
* Awareness of different contract types, financial and quantitative analytical skills, commodity management, supplier and performance measurement tools, and exposure to sourcing process, and Lean Six Sigma
* Strong analytical skills with experiences in Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint is preferred
* Solid experience to ERP (P2P) such as Peoplesoft, Ariba, SAP
* Excellent people skills with collaboration in a multi-disciplinary, diverse and dynamic team environment
* Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
