Title: Complex Procurement Specialist, L4

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

This position requires time on-site and in-plant in Salt Lake City, UT. Relocation will be considered on a case by case basis.

Our Supply Chain Management organization is hiring a Complex Procurement agent.

This individual will manage a portfolio of complex procurement acquisitions with both new and existing customers. The qualified candidate must have a thorough understanding and experience with acquisition principles, theories, concepts, regulations, and experience demonstrating a broad application of those practices, techniques, and standards.

The candidate must be customer focused and possess the ability to develop innovative solutions to a variety of complex problems; have excellent verbal, written and presentation skills to accurately report findings and procurement status to a variety of audiences; and have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and guide cross-functional teams, customers and other external partners. In addition to this skill set, the candidate will also be required to lead negotiations with suppliers for complex procurement hardware.

Specific knowledge of procurement types include Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus- Fixed Fee, Cost Plus- Incentive Fee, as well as other innovative contract types.

Must have strong experience analyzing complex terms and conditions.

Must be well versed in FAR and DFAR regulations and have a familiarity in project management.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree AND 6 years of Procurement or Buyer experience.

6 years experience in negotiations with suppliers, program managers, and internal stake-holders

4 years recent experience as a DoD Purchasing Agent

4 years working with DoD Contracts, Costs, and Pricing analysis

4 years hands on experience and knowledge of FAR and DFAR process and procedures

1+ years experience with Earned Value Management

Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Masters Degree AND 4 years of DoD procurement experience.

Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Purchasing Certification

Purchasing Warrant execution accountability and responsibility

Experience with reading, understanding, and breaking down complex DoD Program and Supplier contracts

Experience in a manufacturing environment and familiarity of how product flows through the factory floor

Experience with the entire MS Office suite, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

Advanced experience with Excel is expected: v lookups, if statements, macros, etc.

Familiar with Cobra EVMS

Secret security clearance, or higher
