Job Description

Responsibilities:

* Manage scoping and sourcing of $50MM+ annually of new products produced at external manufacturers in the US market under brands including Kraft Mac and Cheese, Planters, Lunchables and Ore-Ida for the Kids, Snacks and Beverages (KSB) Business Unit
* Identify and assess potential new external manufacturing partners for business viability including financial, quality, and product manufacturing feasibility
* Manage the long-term innovation pipeline in partnership with the business to ensure the external manufacturing portfolio is supportive of capacity and capability and we are investing with the right partners
* Negotiate contracts with suppliers ensuring the most optimal terms and conditions without compromising service or quality while closely partnering with internal Legal team.
* Lead internal contracts approvals process within Kraft Heinz leadership team and defend contract terms and strategy as needed.
* Partner with the business teams to create appropriate project timelines that support successful project launch
* Build and share knowledge of manufacturing process and external manufacturing capabilities for a variety of food and beverage categories applicable to Business Unit categories.
* Execute the strategic sourcing process including market and industry analysis, supplier research and review, category and supplier segmentation, sourcing events, analysis, negotiations, contracting and implementation
* Establish trust and build effective business relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors for short and long-term partnership
* Identify alternative supply options and value engineering opportunities for ongoing business support and help develop cost savings opportunities within portfolio

Qualifications:

* Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills
* Bachelors degree in Business, Operations, or Supply Chain
* 1-3 years experience in direct procurement, project management or operations related role. Commercialization and CPG experience a plus.
* Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with other driven stakeholders
* Robust analytical skills and no issues working with complex financial data
* Demonstrated ability to manage cross functional projects with varying levels of complexity
* Negotiation and business relationship management skills
* Understanding of the components of a legal contract, preferably with experience negotiating commercial and financial terms in a prior role
* Preferable to have knowledge or experience in food or beverage manufacturing process
