Northrop Grumman is looking for a Deputy Program Manager, responsible for overseeing and managing the day to day operations, serve as a focal point for execution across various development teams, and across engineering and production areas. Responsibilities also will include technical, risk, cost and schedule management of activities to ensure successful program execution of Rapid Prototyping objectives, including execution of System Engineering, Technology Maturation/Risk Reduction (TMRR) and Demonstrations, while meeting cost, schedule, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives. Developing mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers and customers is within scope for this role.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated the following:
* Strong leadership skills with experience managing a diverse team spanning many different engineering, subcontract and development areas.
* Management of a team executing on Firm-Fixed Price cost type contract, designing and demonstrating state of the art electronics and antenna hardware and software.
* Ability to proactively recognize issues/challenges and demonstrated leadership of the team to solve issues.
* Strong understanding of how to sub allocate requirements to design and build the components of this architecture so as to meet the system-level performance requirements.
* Ability to drive decision making and program execution reflecting technical, schedule, cost, risk, strategic aspects.
* Support program level trades associated with Constellation architecture and supporting HW and SW trades, in order to optimize the best cost/schedule/technical details of a competitive offering for the subsequent production phase.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex hardware design and status, and handle explaining issues/impacts/corrective actions.
* Excellent customer interface skills with the ability to establish effective rapport with customers (managers and key technical experts).
* Ability to coordinate staffing and other resources within area as well as across NG.
* Management of cost, schedule, and risk of a product development.
* Management of engineers and technicians in a process driven environment.

Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelors of Science degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution
* 12+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
* Development of state-of-the-art high frequency electronics and antennas
* Development and/or production experience with Space Flight Hardware and Software
* Experience in System engineering of a complex Space system
* Experience in leading NRE phases of development/production activity, specifically for hardware or for System Engineering, leveraging highly specialized manufacturing techniques and processes
* Experience in program execution and demonstrated ability to meet program technical, cost, and schedule milestones
* Must have and be able to maintain an active U.S. Government SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) within the last 5 years or have and be able to maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance at the Top Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years

* Master of Science degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution
* Electronics design development and sustaining experience spanning cradle to grave
* Familiarity with RF electrical design, electronics manufacturing processes and qualification activities
