The Value Chain Quality Excellence Lead will identify and implement key business improvement initiatives across Consumer QC organization including functions such as R&D; QC, Business Quality and Quality Systems to support the Strategic Plan and identify E2E Value from quality improvement projects and programs. The role of the Value Chain Excellence Lead will be responsible for the deployment and execution of core programs, strategies and initiatives for the assigned QC organization.

They will be responsible for the creation of the Savings and Improvement portfolio as well as harmonizing the consumer Performance Management System for the global and regional functional teams. They will closely collaborate with the QC Leadership Team for support and prioritization of overall Consumer QC Strategies, Continuous Improvement Plans and with E2E Value creation from Quality improvement processes. They will leverage the Data & Analytics Team for insights and opportunities and define additional opportunities for prioritization and support. The Value Chain Excellence Lead will be responsible for the consolidation and monitoring of the financial process to include BP, JU and NU information and commitments. They will generate all required reports and scorecards for the E2E Consumer Q&C; Functions. They will lead the harmonization and standardization of data collection, analysis and reporting across E2E Consumer Q&C.; They will ensure customer requirements/stakeholder voice of the customer are continuously assessed and incorporated into processes and procedures, to ensure the services provided evolve with the needs of the business.

Continuous Improvement Pipeline:

* Establish an assessment process by which we analyze multiple sources of data from Quality, Supply Chain, along with our Strategic Plan and LRFP to identify continuous improvement opportunities
* Establish a Continuous Improvement Roadmap aligned with the Strategic Plan & LRFP, clearly showing the value proposition, creation and development of business cases.
* Establish effective measures to monitor the progress against the roadmap and clearly show the status of the value proposition.
* Align the continuous improvement pipeline with Enterprise & Supply Chain and Q&C.;
* Report progress of Business Excellence implementation in Q&C; LT meetings and those of the Leadership team members

Provide Business Excellence Support for all Process Optimization Initiatives:

* Provide business excellence expertise to all project teams that are optimizing Q&C; processes.
* Ensure lean principles and process improvement methodologies are applied consistently.
* Lead teams through process optimization phases of projects
* Lead and coach team to align their optimization actions to planned benefits in the business case.
* Challenge status quo on project teams to ensure harmonization is achieved.
* Lead teams to utilize design thinking and faster forward principles to think beyond current and define innovative, integrated future state processes
* Provide process improvement expertise in developing business cases i.e. process mapping, analytics, benefits realization plan.
* Coach and guide core team on project expectations for benefits realization and tracking progress in alignment with Business & Portfolio Management practices.
* Lead teams to focus on the end customer and engage Supply Chain, R&D;, Commercial, IT and Finance partners to ensure resulting processes address all customer needs
* Establish and execute a governance process for stakeholder engagement and approval of all team decisions where harmonization will not be achieved to assure business leader awareness and approval.
* Apply influence and negotiation with multi-level stakeholders and escalate to senior management if unable to reach alignment.

Strategic Support

* Provide end to end Strategic support to assigned programs and portfolios
* Coordinate strategic planning, annual goals, LRFP, Business Plan and all related business and financial cycle activities across the Franchise/Function team
* Finalize Franchise/Function scorecards and dashboards
* Provide Q&C; portfolio updates for capital, CIPs, investments, savings
* Provide PMO updates on strategic programs and projects related to Franchise/Function.
* Serve as S&D; single point of contact (SD-SPOC) on Function leadership teams for savings and BPs
* Collaborate with Data Analytics team to create Templates and Scorecards for Functional team
* Represent Consumer Quality & Compliance on any Special Programs, Communities of Practice, Centers of Excellences led by Enterprise or Consumer Supply Chain or Quality & Compliance organizations.
* Perform other duties, assignments, and/or special projects as time or circumstances necessitate

Qualifications
Education Requirements:

* A Bachelor's Degree (or University equivalent) is required
* An Advanced degree or a focus in Supply Chain, R&D;, Quality/Regulatory, Process Excellence or another related area is preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* A minimum of 8 years of related experience is required
* A minimum of 2 years of project management experience is required
* Functional knowledge of / experience in Quality & Compliance is required.
* Ability to lead teams to establish standard processes, technologies and operating procedures is required
* Knowledge and experience in Lean thinking - System Thinking, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Problem Solving - is required
* Deep knowledge of regulated healthcare environment and strong cross-functional business acumen is required
* Experience with data collection, analysis and reporting technologies is required
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills are required
* A visionary, strategic thinker with strong capability to establish and deliver continuous improvement plans for the global function is required
* Proven success at challenging, influencing and guiding teams to optimize business processes is required
* Strong blend of tactical and strategic management skills with the ability to influence stakeholders is required
* Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups of people in a global and matrixed organization as well as externally is required
* Ability to influence others, managing competing internal stakeholder priorities and dealing with ambiguity is required
* Strong relationship development, conflict resolution, and team building instincts, with the ability to build partnerships both internally and externally, is required

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Process Excellence Belt or JJPS experience is preferred
* Experience in Supply Chain, Commercial, and/or R&D; is preferred
* Project Management experience, to include resource management, FTE demand, risk analysis, cost optimization is preferred

Location and Travel:

* This position will be located preferably near a Consumer site in the United States or EMEA region and may require up to 25% domestic & international travel
