Ethicon, Inc. part of the Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Companies, is recruiting for an Annotations Operations Manager to be located preferably in Santa Clara, CA, but consideration for remote employees located in the United states may be given.

Through our new Robotics and Digital Solutions (RAD) group we developing new solutions developing AI to deliver innovation to make a life-changing impact! This is an opportunity for a key role in bringing exciting new products to market to support and build the RAD group.

Were looking for an individual to develop a systematic process for annotation pipelines in computer vision model development. Key activities include, process mapping, identification of capability gaps, technology/software gaps, and a learning system that is always improving and optimizing speed/efficiency, costs, and quality. This will include development of an annotation jobs system, quantification of complexity of annotation tasks, process performance metrics (including statistical process control), human annotation capacity development, development and experimentation with novel annotation methods (such as synchronized video with machine data).

Key Responsibilities:

* Review/analyze current processes using PDCA, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean Techniques and/or other improvement tools and programs.
* Work with the Digital Solution data scientist, clinicians, and annotators to understand the technology solutions proposed. Challenge and support the annotation team to improve the solutions keeping in mind that your responsibilities will include both High quality development and maintenance of these solutions.
* Collaborate with the Data Science and annotator team to develop structured and scalable identification of anatomic, procedural, and device details.
* Monitor annotation progress and initiate Corrective and Preventive Action when the workflow deviates from plans. Identify and resolve issues.
* Analyze historical data to provides estimates for cost and time of annotation jobs.
* Handle end-to-end onboarding for annotators requires working cross-functionally with HR, Legal, and Finance.

Qualifications
* A Bachelors degree and a minimum of 5 years industry experience OR a Masters/Advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience in operations management is required
* A minimum of 2 in Systems Engineering is required
* Minimum of 2 years experience in project/product management required
* Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, R, SQL is required
* Experience working with analytics and data visualization tools to drive meaningful business insights is required
* Some machine learning / deep learning background and familiarity with state-of-the-art Computer Vision and Medical Imaging techniques is preferred
* Six Sigma Certification or other process improvement experience is preferred
* This position will preferably be located in Santa Clara, CA, with some consideration given to remote candidates located in the United States, and may require up to 10% domestic and international travel
