Jacobs is seeking a TechReq Technician in Springfield, VA. Duties will include:

* Process incoming TECHREQ in 2 to 5days based on priority level

* Manage UPST stock levels, conduct Semi-annualinventory of all stock and repair items. Operate forklift for removal /replacement of equipment to stock

* Provide monthly QASP data to TEHCREQ manager andprovide troubleshooting to the field via message, same-time or phone ontechnical issues

* Operate,configure, maintain, repair, and manage UPS equipment. Specializations include several generations ofUPS 650VA, 700VA, 1KVA, 1500VA and 2KVA

* Responsible for documenting records in MicrosoftAccess, Excel, and ensuring stock levels are maintained

* Isolate UPS failures using, manuals,diagrams and multimeter

* Repairequipment down to component or module level, annotate repair records and returnequipment to stock

* Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
* Active TS/SCI with polygraph required
* High school diploma or AA degree
* Certificateof training or certification with two years of experience basic electronics componentlevel repair of electronic equipment. This can be of the form of military training in basic electronics andtwo years with two years of experience performing electronic repair work

* Requires less than three full years of experience specific to the skill and must be reflected
* Capable of reading technical manuals and diagrams to isolate problemsdown to component or module level
* Knowledge of principles and processes forproviding customer and personal services. This includes customer needsassessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction

* Proficient in many facets of information technologyrequirements

* Should possess general business knowledge andsoft-skills allowing them to be adaptable in a wide array of work environments.The candidate should have the willingness to participate in these type ofactivities when called upon to do so

Desired Requirements:

* AADegree Electronics with 1 year of work experience in diagnosing, repair andreplacement of components level equipment for the Powerware and UPSI systems
* Experience with the use of basic test equipment such asmultimeters, oscilloscopes and the use of power and hand tools

Essential Job Description Functions

Work Environment:

General Office environment.The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadlinepressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork andcooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across theCompany and Customers.

Physical Requirements:

Most work will be done at a desk or computer. Typically employees sit comfortably to do theirwork, interspersed by brief periods of standing, walking, bending, carryingpapers and books, and extensive periods requiring the use of computer terminalsto accomplish work objectives. Capable of lifting a minimum of 50lbs.

Equipment and Machines:

General office equipment including PC/laptop,Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous officeequipment.

Attendance:

Attendance is critical at alltimes. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday.However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs tobe available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meetlast minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.

Other Essential Functions:

Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must work well under pressure to meet deadline requirements. Must be willing to travel as needed. Must take and pass a drug test and background check as well as a motor vehicle records check.
