The Mechanical R&D Tooling Engineer in Assembly Test and Technology Development (ATTD) will be expected to:

Design and analyze mechanical systems, equipment and packaging.

Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.

Direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication.

Provide design information for drafting for packaging documentation.

The candidate should also exhibit the following behavioral traits and/or skills:

* Willingness to work with multiple teams and managing projects as well as working with external suppliers

Qualifications

You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position.
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Possess a bachelor's degree (with 3+ years of relevant experience) or master's degree (with 2+ years of relevant experience) or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering or any other related field.
* Thermal and/or mechanical, controls engineering experience
* Knowledge of semiconductor test methodology.
* Laboratory experimentation experience (setting up experiments and instruments, collect and analyze data, etc.)
* Familiarity with lab instrumentation
* Experience translating package thermal, mechanical and electrical test requirements into tooling specifications.
* Knowledge of solid modeling software, such as Pro/E or Solid Works.
* Experience with or working knowledge of numerical modeling software, such as IcePak or ANSYS, analyzing semiconductor package or system level thermal management.
* Demonstrated experience of applied statistical methods, such as DOE and reliability statistics.
* Experience reviewing and utilizing electrical schematics related to the equipment controls.
* Understanding of basic electrical schematics and troubleshooting.
* Understanding of mechanical test vehicle designs and capabilities.
