Requires the capability to direct, manage and satisfactorily conduct, complete and certify all required MOF/SMOF/RMF industrial testing; coordinate and clear construction work, certifications, and certify all module transfer and float-off requirements are met.Must be able to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers including Waterfront Construction Management, Design Engineering, Test Engineering, SUPSHIP, NAVSEA, CWITT, SPAWAR, ISEA and Ship's Force.Good leadership skills and project management experience (test coordination, resource planning, budgeting and test scheduling).Compilation of lessons learned during ship availability.Understanding of test requirements and ability to provide inputs for the Basis of Estimate (BOE).Responsible for the correct/accurate and timely scoping of AWP items during the planning evolution.Active participant in Test Planning meetings.Excellent writing skills to write technical reports and perform the final Engineering Reviews of test procedures.

Basic Qualifications

Lead Test Engineer (LTE) or Ship Safety Officer (SSO) or Watch Supervisor or Watch Officer Certification or Trade REC Coordinator (TRC) and Trade REC Oversight Agent (TROA) Certification and 9 years of relevant professional/exempt experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Requires candidate to have Submarine Non-Propulsion Electronics/Combat Systems Test Lead Test Engineer (LTE) Certification and experience as a Chief Test Engineer (CTE) or Assistant CTE.

Must be able to go onboard the submarine and ride sea trials.
