Use your knowledge of electrical engineering discipline, processes and tools to help Honeywell SPS deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will work under general supervision and alongside some of the world's most talented engineers. You will contribute to the development of Honeywell's next generation of Alvey Palletizer Upgrade products by designing, testing, and/or validating products/processes from prototype to market. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise and ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and execute project tasks
* Assist product and process certification
* Ensure project and product compliance
* Present to leadership and external customers
* Consult with vendors and suppliers
* Communicate non-compliance incidents
* Establish and follow methodologies
* Propose technical improvements
* Suggest enhancements to advance projects

YOU MUST HAVE

* B.S. in Engineering, or have significant experience as a skilled electrician or electronics specialist with working knowledge of microprocessors, PLC-equipment and data communication, pneumatics, and electronics
* Minimum seven (7) years of experience in the field or in a related area
* Significant mechanical aptitude is required
* Ability to travel nationally up to 35%

WE VALUE

* Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision by consistently taking the initiative to get things done
* Experience with Allen Bradley line of processors, from PLC5 through Control Logix and related software, such as
Allen Bradley HMIs and Factory Talk View Studio
* Experience with VFDs, 3 phase electrical circuitry, and control circuitry
* Ability to create electrical drawings using AutoCAD
* Significant knowledge of controls practices and techniques
* Ability to establish Ethernet communications between Allen-Bradley PLCs, PanelViews, VFDs, servo drives, I/O products, and other non-Allen-Bradley devices such as bar code scanners
* Ability to configure Allen-Bradley safety PLCs and safety I/O
* Ability to program Allen-Bradley PLCs and PanelViews
* Experience programming and implementing industrial robots, especially Fanuc or Motoman robots, would be a plus
* Good communication skills. Must be able to interact well with office, plant, customer service engineers, and customer personnel
