NAPA Auto Parts is seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working Automotive Parts Specialist to join our rapidly growing team of auto parts professionals. This is the ideal position for knowledgeable and energetic people who have a passion for automotive equipment, truck, OEM fleet, small engine and/or non-traditional vehicle parts and applications.
Responsibilities:
* Provide auto parts answers and solutions in a timely manner for our IBS customers in person at the counter/over the phone
* Understand, interpret, and comply with all contract requirements and ensure the operation is meeting customer expectations
* Works closely and communicates with company and the customer management team to develop strategies to ensure the overall value of the IBS program
* Sources all parts needs for customers by utilizing various approved IBS vendors
* Ensures proper processes and procedures are utilized to minimize inventory shrinkage
* Works in unison with the Site Manager ensuring all daily/weekly/monthly reconciliation items are handled per policy and procedure guide. Builds relationships and assists with the negotiation of non-company vendors on pricing, inventory, service and returns privileges
* Use technology (computer), telephone, and paper catalog system

What youll need:
* Minimum 18 years of age
* Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry or at least a willingness to learn all things auto parts.
* High School Diploma or GED. Technical or Trade school courses or degree.
* Passion for delivering customer care
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to thrive in a busy, face-paced environment
* Great listening skills and empathy for customers
And if you have this, even better (not a deal breaker if you dont):
* Background and/or passion for automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership.
* Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, auto body/collision
* Knowledge of cataloging AND/OR inventory management systems, a plus
* Entirely customer-centric (external/internal)
* ASE Certifications
* Valid drivers license
