Payments Compliance Issue Management Lead

Job Description

The Facebook Payments Compliance team are looking for a focused and dedicated Issues Management Lead to help administer and execute the Issues Management program. Under the guidance of the Head of Payments Compliance Program Governance, you will contribute to all aspects of governance and administration of Payments Compliance issues management including liaising with internal and cross-functional stakeholders, execution of and reporting against program objectives and initiatives. You will also be responsible for supporting collation and consolidation of required information for audits and regulatory exams. We are looking for an experienced individual who has excellent interpersonal skills and is able to work cross functionally with compliance operations and second line testing teams and internal audit.

Payments Compliance Issue Management Lead Responsibilities

* Liaise across the 3 lines of defence as prescribed within the Payments Compliance Issue management framework, including supporting issue documentation and root cause analysis, ensuring proper approvals are obtained, and reasonable action plans are created

* Manage key internal relationships with internal and external audit teams, regulatory teams and compliance monitoring

* Review of gaps submitted through the intake form and working closely with the relevant stakeholders to determine the resolution recommendations

* Maintenance of issue, corrective action plans and gap records in Resolver, and ensuring that accurate statuses are reflected

* Proactively engaging all Payments Compliance and cross-functional teams to obtain clear status updates on the progress of remediation, monitoring for potential delays to target dates and facilitating critical extension requests where necessary

* Coordinating periodic issue metrics and status reporting to management on a regular and ad-hoc basis

* Supporting audit and exam activities for the regulated payment entities, including maintaining well organized records associated with each audit/exam, and ensuring that requested information/documents are submitted on time

* Assist in preparations for regulatory exams and audits, including the development and review of responses to examiner and auditor inquiries

* Perform pre-validation or vetting to ensure that commitments in Management Action Plans (MAPs) are completed as agreed

* Drive review, development and enhancement of the Issues management framework and procedures, alongside other program execution documents

* Support compliance activities and perform program governance duties, including ad-hoc projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

* 5+ years of experience in compliance, regulatory, or business in either industry or consulting

* Bachelor's degree

* Experience coordinating issue management processes in the regulated financial industry

* AML and Sanctions knowledge and experience

* Experience preparing material for submission to regulators

* Track record in coordination and integration efforts across multiple groups with experience presenting and challenging senior leaders in the organization

Preferred Qualifications

* ACAMS or AML related qualification

* Interpersonal skills with experience building relationships within Payments Compliance and with our cross-functional partners

* Analytical, organizational, project management and creative thinking skills

* Experience in creating high quality presentations, reports and process documentation
