Job Description

Facebook is seeking an individual who is passionate about the advertising marketplace, creating great mobile app experiences for people and about how value is created at the intersection of the two. This is a position helping to shape how new ad product innovation is experienced on the Facebook App through the auction system. Success in this role will be a demonstrated positive influence on the delivery, ranking and quality roadmap through research, testing and insights that improve the relevance of ads within the user experience on the Facebook App. This role will lead the inbound phase of product marketing collaborating with internal and external research partners. Inbound work includes conducting customer immersions, advertiser outreach to capture and synthesize market feedback, utilizing industry reports, analyzing internal and external data, conducting competitive assessments and running alpha and beta tests for new feature concepts. The goal is to derive insights and develop strong business cases comprehensive of user experience, market needs, opportunity sizing and deep feedback from internal and external stakeholders to influence engineering and business investment decisions. Candidates will also demonstrate an ability to drive cross-functional alignment across business, marketing and sales teams to launch new user and business solutions into the market. Outbound product marketing responsibilities include leading launch planning with associated positioning and messaging communications collaborating with other go-to-market teams. This person must be an exceptional communicator who can confidently share insights derived from research, can craft compelling stories to illuminate the value proposition of new product solutions and to educate and inspire internal and external partners. This leader must also have experience influencing executives and key stakeholders across organizations, disciplines and markets and is a proven, hands-on operator who is able execute against business objectives. This person will need to autonomously prioritize the most impactful work for a small team.

Product Marketing Lead, Facebook App Monetization Delivery Responsibilities

* Develop annual and semi-annual plans collaboratively with product, engineering, data science and marketing leadership

* Drive product strategy bridging short-term execution and long-term vision

* Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to set execution strategies, and track/analyze performance

* Identify opportunities and represent view of the market by conducting industry research, including deep quantitative, qualitative and competitive analysis

* Distill and surface market feedback that informs product roadmap and improves advertising and business services offerings for entire Facebook product portfolio

* Analyze product performance, synthesize customer feedback and advocate improvements

* Effectively and regularly communicate with leadership within the Product and Sales organizations

* Build strong cross-functional relationships and prioritize work to efficiently deploy our finite go-to-market capacity

* Ability to solve global challenges with scaled solutions

* Build and sustain exceptional culture whilst developing outstanding, diverse and empowered teams with exceptional product marketing skills

* Partner with the Product Management, Research, Engineering, Sales, Communications and other key teams

Minimum Qualifications

* BA/BS degree

* 12+ years experience with 5+ years experience working in a product management, product marketing, management consulting, product strategy or equivalent function (partnered with product management and/or engineering to represent market requirements)

* Product, product strategy, consulting, or business marketing experience, including experience in digital media and/or advertising sales

* Knowledge on technology and experience turning individual products into solutions that drive business results

* Proven experience mentoring and leading large team of high performers located across multiple, geographically dispersed offices

* Demonstrated experience driving resolution in the context of competing perspectives

Preferred Qualifications

* MBA

* Management consulting or research experience in advertising or media businesses

* Digital advertising experience including understanding of digital advertising models both in the U.S. and globally

* Experience collaborating cross-functionally and building consensus among multiple stakeholders in an entrepreneurial, high-expectation environment

* Scrappy, resourceful, action and detail-oriented, with a high ownership mindset to deliver measurable impact

* Quantitative analytical experience and communication skills
