CCI Mechanical is a full-service HVAC and Plumbing design/build contractor. With 300 employees performing the design, fabrication, installation, and service of HVAC, plumbing, process piping and building automation systems we are the leader in our markets. All preconstruction work is done utilizing BIMCad technologies (CadMech, CadDuct, Revit, Navisworks systems).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Establishes the following items for estimating projects:
* Prepare take-offs, schedules, and price estimates
* Obtain scopes of work and pricing from subcontractors and suppliers. Review vendor equipment submittals for accuracy and quality of products.
* Prepare accurate sheet metal, piping and labor estimates.
* Ability to review plan and specifications and provide value engineering for Mechanical Systems.
* Compile thorough and detailed lists of qualifications, clarifications and exclusions to effectively communicate our budget assumptions to the client.
* Prepare budgets utilizing conceptional documents.
* Prepare Design-Build estimates.
* Understand and contribute to risk and contingency assessments. Ensure quality while submitting more comprehensive alternative solutions for client.
* Ability to develop bid strategies and closing of mechanical estimates.
* Schedule and run estimate reviews with construction and preconstruction teams.
* Ability to prepare a procurement plan for buying out the vendors and subcontractors.
* Establish and maintain good client/vendor/subcontractor relationships at all times.
Additional Items:
* Work with Preconstruction Manager to review and assemble go vs. no-go assessment forms
* Participate in review and management of back-log, man power and operation commitments.
* Work with Fabrication Manager to provide estimate data for fabrication scope of work.
* Coordinate, attend, and lead if necessary, the following meetings
* Estimate Review(s)
* Turnover meeting
* Construction Kickoff meeting
* Fabrication meeting(s)
* Construction Plan review meeting(s)
* Construction closeout and post-project review meetings
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & QUALIFICATIONS:
* Communication - communicates clearly and concisely in verbal and written form.

* Interpersonal skills - able to work effectively with other employees, supervisors, and external parties

* PC skills - demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project applications and others as required
* Read and interpret contract documents and provide feedback for constructability, value engineering, and quality control.
* Basic skills - able to perform basic mathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures, punctuate properly, spell correctly and transcribe accurately
* Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the mechanical and plumbing construction, such as commercial buildings, hospitals, data centers, food processing and manufacturing facilities.
* Ability to read and understand engineered drawings, specifications, RFQ s, RFP s and bid documents as related to the Mechanical HVAC and plumbing trades.
* Knowledge of relevant codes, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote compliant projects within Federal, State and Local regulations.
* Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, direct, and control all aspects of the bidding process.
* Ability to work with the customer to find mutually satisfactory solutions to difficult issues.
* Proficient using an estimating software and on-screen takeoff. Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Word.
