Summary:
The Director for Bearings Plus will lead the Bearings Plus (BPI) Aftermarket business to ensure they remain a leader in servicing the aftermarket. The position has full accountability for the 50 person Operations and BPI P&L for short to mid-term strategic goals. They will coordinate resources to deliver superior products and quality service which exceed both internal and external customers expectations. In their role they will work closely with the Vice President / General Manager of Engineered Bearings, the BPI team and the wider DPO site management team.
Responsibilities:
Ownership and execution of BPIs short to mid-term strategic goals and priorities.
Accountability for developing and delivering plan for profitable growth to exceed BPIs performance objectives.
Accountability for BPIs P&L. This is a 50 person Aftermarket repair/refurbishment/CNC machining operations
Building and supporting a customer centric culture across the BPI business
Partner with DPO management team and key stakeholders to support plant wide and companywide initiatives including culture, communication and continuous improvement
Ensuring the safety of BPI employees by driving safety performance and culture, in line with the Zero Harm at home & at work mission
Actively manage BPI business and resources as needed including goals, strategic initiatives and make necessary resource and planning decisions
Playing an active, hands on role in the BPI operational and business development processes where required
Create and foster opportunities to create a positive, dynamic culture where Bearings Plus employees have an opportunity to contribute and grow professionally.
Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the success of the Bearings Plus business.
Education and Experience:
Minimum bachelors degree in Engineering, Business or related field required
Minimum seven years of relevant operations leadership experience required. Such as Leading Operations in Customer Centric CNC Machining business (Mills/Lathes) and/or Aftermarket Refurbishment/Repair or Engineered Products Maintenance business.
Experience of working within a continuous improvement culture preferred.
