Scope of Position:

* Improving manufacturing capability (e.g. efficiencies, yields, cycle time, and/or material utilization) by identifying and eliminating root cause(s) of variability
* Problem solving and/or process improvement using a structured methodical (e.g. Six Sigma)
* Quality Architecture for new and existing businesses
* Develop and maintain Quality Control plan, Critical to Quality (CTQs) and MSA analysis of the test method.
* Develop, implement and maintain Quality systems to meet the requirements of production, ISO 9001 and TL 9000

Day to Day Responsibilities:

* This individual contributor role will be supporting manufacturing, new process development teams, and driving process improvements.
* Creating and maintaining Quality Architecture for new and existing businesses
* Support cross discipline project teams
* The project portfolio covers a broad range of business areas including Life Sciences, Display Technologies (LCD glass), Environmental Technologies (Automotive and Diesel), Specialty Materials, Pharmaceutical Technologies, and Strategic Growth (new business development).

Travel Requirements:

* Travel will range 10-50% average per year depending on project needs, possible international travel

Required Education:

* Bachelor or Master's degree in engineering

Required Years and Area of Experience:

* 2+ years of experience in similar position

Required Skills:

* Excellent verbal and writing communication skills and effective interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to handle changing priorities while achieving objectives
* Leadership skills.
* Able to coordinate improvement teams.
* Reporting and presentations skills.
* Demonstrated track record of quality and process improvement projects using Six Sigma, DMAIC, or equivalent process improvement process such as control plan, SPC, 8D, 5 WHY, fishbone, PFMEA
* General statistical training with experience applying concepts such as Measurement System Analysis and Process Capability.
* PC and Microsoft office skills

Desired Skills:

* Advanced Excel skills, including pivot table functions and macros
* Experience in ISO 9001, TL 9000 is a plus.
* Six Sigma Certification - Black Belt preferred
* Experience with project management tools including critical path analysis, work breakdown structure, and risk management.
