Job Description
A Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for administering patient care within the scope of his/her training and expertise, collaborating with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes is met. This is done in conjunction with the objectives and policies of the hospital and the Nurse Practice Act of the State in which practicing. The accurate capture and documentation of clinical data are critical to this position. Under the immediate direction of a physician or mid-level provider, this LPN may prepare and administer medications and instruct patients about medications, special diets and preventative medicine initiatives (i.e. Wellness).

The ability to implement care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent, systematic and continuous manner is essential to ensure excellent patient care standards are maintained. This nursing professional may perform special clinical implementation functions that require clinical expertise.
Education: Must have the required education needed to be a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state which practicing.
Experience: Two (2) years Licensed Practical Nursing experience in a medical practice, preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: Current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state which practicing. Must maintain current BLS certification.
