Directs nursing service activities in the emergency room. Delegates responsibilities to auxiliary and emergency room staff RNs ; supervises preparation and maintenance of emergency room patient clinical records, and writes reports on emergency room staff performance and services rendered. Maintains pre-set inventory standards for solutions, supplies, medicines and equipment, and keeps track of narcotics. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management. Must be graduate of an accredited nursing program with current state licensure and at least 5 years of direct experience. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

The 123-bed, acute-care hospital offers comprehensive medical services and is located in Mooresville, NC. The medical campus includes 24-hour emergency medicine, a comprehensive center for surgical weight loss, womens services and The Stork Landing Maternity Center, cardiology, oncology, and surgical services, including an orthopedic specialty center and an outpatient surgery center, with designation as an American Institute of Minimally Invasive Surgery (AIMIS) Center of Excellence.
