JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the management and execution of the crisis management function within a defined geographical region. This includes supporting global crisis management efforts in conjunction with other regional Global Security & Crisis Management teams around the globe. Provides leadership and subject matter expertise in crisis management practices, conducting training and executing on continual process improvement across the regional Program. Ensures consistent implementation of CBREs Global Security & Crisis Management Policy & Standards. Owing to the nature of this role, this position is required to work outside standards office hours to ensure a timely response to any event.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In cooperation with the Vice President, Global Security & Crisis Management, develops and evaluates policies, procedures, tools, templates and strategies to manage significant events which threaten to impact CBREs staff, assets and operations.
Acts as Incident Manager to lead coordination of efforts teams during and after regional or localized crises or disruptive incidents. Completes after action reviews following significant incidents and tracks open items to resolution.
Develops trusting relationships with senior regional leadership, including divisional leadership, line of business leaders and functional heads, and displays effective leadership to strengthen coordination during crisis response. Develops strong and productive relationships with public agencies and private sector counterparts.
Executes emergency alerting and communication plans compliant with applicable laws, regulations and contractual requirements.
Provides oversight for the reporting of Program activities and adequacy of continuity and response plans for critical areas of operations. Develops dashboards and metrics reports to present to senior leadership. Identifies and implements best practices across the region.
Provides guidance and direction in any matters concerning the interpretation and application of the companys Security & Crisis Management Program, policies, standards, best practices, and technology.
Provides subject matter expertise to senior management in the identification and continual improvement of proposed strategies and plans to mitigate risks and impacts associated with crises and disruptive incidents. Proactively identifies and tracks emerging risks and high-profile events and develops or updates strategies and plans as required.
Works with critical business areas to identify stakeholders who will develop and maintain Crisis Management Plans, Business Impact Analysis/Business Continuity Plans, and Incident Response Plans in support of critical business functions.
Builds crisis management response capabilities within the business and identifies and trains backups (including Incident Manager backups). Develops and delivers training on Security & Crisis Management related topics.
Works with teams to establish and execute a regular testing program to ensure the adequacy of strategies defined in plans. Ensures that significant gaps identified during plan maintenance, testing and exercises are aligned to the Program Policy and Standards and tracked to resolution.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages the planning, organization, and controls for a major functional area or department. May be responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Monitors appropriate staffing levels and reports on utilization and deployment of human resources. Leads and supports staff in areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising and rewarding performance and retention. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, risk, information systems or related equivalent experience. 5+ years in corporate or regulatory environment including experience with organizational dynamics, relationship management, conflict resolution, and strategic planning. 5+ years in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Crisis Management or related experience. Proven track record in managing large scale incidents and crises. Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) certification, Business Continuity Institute (BCI) certification or similar, preferred.

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics and incorporate feedback from employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action. Ability to interface and coordinate work efficiently and effectively with business partners. Demonstrate cultural awareness when dealing with different markets across the business.

Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Able to manage multiple initiatives at one time. Experience with Fusion Risk Management/Salesforce and Everbridge applications preferred.
